When we are not a fit
If you bill one or two insurance companies, your claims are simple and you have the time, billing in your own EMR may cost you less than any billing company. We would rather say so now.

If you leave
You keep your EMR and your records. At the end, the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) requires us to return or destroy your patients' information and keep no copies.8
